Wow... this list looks amazing. I never knew that first domain was registered waaaaay back in 1985 !!!

whoisd has compiled a list of the 100 oldest domains (that are still currently registered!). It's here: http://whoisd.com/oldestcom.php. According to the list, the oldest domain name was Symbolics.Com which was registered on 15th March 1985.

God knows how the pages looked back then !

Keyboard from the Future

Wow.... *drool*.... this is IT!

This OLED based keyboard is supposed to be launched sometime in 2006. They say that it is going to cost less than a good mobile phone.

Err... how much is that? > Rs. 20,000/= ?

Whatever it is, I'll surely get one for myself. Check it out here: http://www.artlebedev.com/portfolio/optimus/

Use GMail to bring back visitors

A great idea struck me (maybe has struck others too!) of keeping my visitors glued to my site using GMail... yes GMail it is.

Once you sign up for a GMail account, you'll be getting free invites to invite your friends and family. You can also invite people who visit your site. Now, in order to do so, we'll require the email address of those visitors who want an invite to be mailed to them.

And once we mail the invite, we'll be actually getting two email addresses of the same person, which can be added to our mailing list and a mail sent to them whenever there's something new on the site... Great idea, isn't it?

Btw, please don't use this idea to send spam... I, myself, hate spam and wouldn't want this idea to go wasted in sending lots and lots of junk, unnecessary mails to innocent people.

Tech-a-Tete

I am starting Tech-a-Tete to use it mostly like an online archive of technology related news that I find all over the Internet. Usually all these interesting sites and cool links that I find gets lost amidst tons of Bookmarks and Archives... hope to keep them alive here :)
